Face the Dragon

Every Warrior must, at some point in their adventure, face their Dragon.

The Dragon is called by many names:
-Sin (pick any of the 7 deadly ones)
-Ego
-Fear
-Weakness
-Addiction
-Temptation
-Evil

I have said many times that the whole legend of the Knight and the Princess and the Dragon is not about men rescuing women from a beast, its about our VIRTUE rescuing our INNOCENCE from our SHADOW.

The princess is only a symbol of innocence for a short time, after the encounter with shadow and virtue, the Princess becomes a Queen...POWER.

This struggle and ultimate transformation into power is a journey everyone of us must take. Some of us already have...and then there will be another...and another...and another....

When we face our Dragon, the worst habit we posses is to think we have EVER killed the dragon. Dragons are immortal, and at best, you can only transform your dragon into an ally. That's why anyone who calls themselves an addict years into their sobriety still has a good chance of maintaining clean time...because they know the dragon is still alive, waiting for the most inopportune time to strike.

You have to face your dragon. You must battle your dragon...and you must transform your Dragon.

Your wound must become your gift.

What's your dragon? What is your greatest weakness?

Can you resist the temptation to let your dragon run your life? How many people do you know let their dragons run their lives, make their decisions, keep them captive, destroy their livelihood,

Tomorrow night at 7 pm (MST) join Tom Terwilliger and I for part 3 of our Leap of Faith webinar series. We will be discussing TEMPTATION: The dragon's greatest weapon.
